Nannette Brodie Dance Theatre (NBDT) is a modern dance company known for its dynamic blend of drama, wit, joy, and invention — a company capable of moving audiences both emotionally and physically. Since its inaugural performance in 1986, NBDT has grown into a prominent cultural force in Southern California and beyond.
Led by Artistic Director and principal choreographer Nannette Brodie, the company is grounded in her belief that “Dance should be a celebration — an exploration of ourselves and our environment, our culture, and our world.”
Over the years, NBDT has performed for more than 280,000 people, presenting 15 to 25 performances annually. Their work spans Southern California, national tours, and international stages, with a repertoire that continues to evolve.
